CANDLE CARE

RECOMMENDED BURNING TIME:

6oz CANDLES: Approx. 2 hours at a time. Do NOT exceed 4 hours at a time.

15oz CANDLES: Up to 4 hours at a time. Do NOT exceed 4 hours at a time.

Always burn candle until the wax burns melts to the edges of candle vessel to prevent tunnelling and wick not lighting.

WICK CARE:

Always trim your wick before each use. For best results, trim wick to 1/4 of an inch before burning. You can use scissors, a wick trimmer, or even your fingers! Only trim wick when wax is cold and hardened. Remove and discard wick cut offs from candle before burning. Trimming your wick plays a surprisingly important role to your candle's function. By trimming your wick, you are ensuring the most even, controlled and clean burn possible.

Wick trimmers can be purchased here.

Please Note: If you trim your wick too short, this may result in difficulties relighting your wick.

CERAMICS COLLECTION:

Once you have finished enjoying your Ceramics Collection candle, you can discard of any left over wax and reuse your vessel for another purpose!

How to Clean Your Vessel (2 Methods):

  1. "FREEZE & FORGET": Remove excess wax from vessel with butter knife, put vessel into freezer until wax is frozen, remove from freezer and use butter knife to remove the remainder of wax from vessel. Wash vessel with soap and water before reusing.
  2. ADD BOILING WATER: Carefully pour boiling water into vessel until excess wax is covered. After 10ish minutes, wax should start coming to the surface of the water, discard this wax using a spoon. Do NOT put wax down the drain. Once wax is removed, you can dump water down the drain. If there is any wax left at the bottom, you should be able to easily pry it out using a butter knife. Wash vessel with soap and water before reusing.
Please Note: All vessels from the Ceramics Collection are dishwasher, microwave and food safe unless otherwise specified. Glass jars are NOT microwave safe- do NOT put glass jars in microwave as they will spark.
